Compiled by Janice Webster Brown
========
FIRST GENERATION ========

who was born about 1550 in Argyleshire in the west of Scotland
and who was married to Mary Stuart about 1605. He, with his family,
emigrated with the colony that settled in the North of Ireland
in 1619. He purchased a large plantation from the Earl of Antrim
in the county of Antrim, parish of Priestland and town of Glenluse.
The precise time of his death is not known (he is supposed to
have been about 90 years of age at his death) neither do we know
the number of his children. As was the custom, the property descended
to the eldest son, whose name was Robert.
