Aug 10, 1827 at Northfield, N.H., son of Edmund and Sarah Dearborn [see History of Boscawen & Webster NH, page 541], educated at Sanbornton Academy, and New Hampshire Conference Seminary at Tilton [NH]. Graduated at medical department of Dartmouth College in November 1849, located in practice at Mont Vernon NH, Feb. 1850, removed to Milford NH in June 1853. While there he served on eyear, fall of 1861 to fall of 1862 in the Eighth New Hampshire Regt. of Volunteers in Missippi and Louisiana, as surgeon. In summer of 1864 he served three months as surgeon in the 9th Corps Hospitals in front of Petersburg, VA. Later he was commissioned surgeon of the new 18th Regt NH Volunteers, but the war ended before the regiment left the state. During Grant's first administration he was U.S. Pension Examining Agent for the Milford district. In 1868 to 1869 he was one of the two representatives for Milford in the state legislature. May 1873, he removed to Nashua NH. He was one of the most eminent physicians in New Hampshire. He m. Dec. 5, 1853, Henrietta M. , dau of Dea. Joseph A. and Maria J. (Bruce) Starrett* of Mont Vernon. She was b. in Mont Vernon, Sept. 29, 1834, and died in Nashua NH June 29, 1893. He d. Nashua NH May 8, 1903. Children: 1. Dr. Frank A. Dearborn, b. Milford NH Sept 21, 1857, a practicing physician in Nashua NH; m. a Miss Clara K. Laton of Nashua NH and has one child. 2. Dr. Samuel S. Dearborn, b. Milford NJ Jan 30, 1872, graduated Harvard University, 1894, graduated from its medical department in 1898, resides in Nashua NH, married Miss May Chandler, dau of John D.
