HALL CEMETERY
Corner Young and Sunnyside Streets, Manchester NH

Return to the "Cemetery section" of this web site

Hall Cemetery is one-half acre, located at the intersection of Young and Sunnyside Streets, and was conferred to the City in 1921. The most recent burial in Hall Cemetery was March 23, 1942.

The following IS NOT a complete listing of the cemetery, but rather abstracted gravestone inscriptions from photographs taken in July of 2005. Please see the original photographs to verify the dates shown below.

There were stones that were illegible due to the wearing away of the engraving, being broken, or lying face down on the ground. In order to minimize further damage, I made no effort to touch any of the gravestones. There were also several stones that had worn away, from time or the elements, and also several lots marked by uninscribed rocks.

The oldest stone (that I could read the inscription) was that of James & Rachel Hall. Several of the stones were newer, and probably placed later than the actual death. Most of the burials appear to have occurred in the mid to late 1800's.
